Meet the Team

Nursery Manager

Emma Jordan

I have had a lifelong passion for working with children and Young people, starting my Early Years journey in 2008. I have had various roles in the sector, including Nursery Management, children’s centre management and Social Work. My specialism is in safeguarding and I lead safeguarding training for OFSTED registered settings. Ensuring your little ones are safe is my top priority. I have a keen interest in forest school inspired play and am excited to showcase our Outdoor Classroom here at Dragonflies at Oru. Having worked in many Nurseries, I have never seen a setting quite as unique and special as Dragonflies and am excited to watch it grow.

Deputy Manager

Joanna Smith

I am thrilled to be part of the team at Dragonflies as the Deputy Manager. I have an abundance of experience spanning over 10 years. During my time as a teacher, I focused on supporting children with special educational needs. I am dedicated to providing the best possible care and education to children. I am excited to grow and contribute knowledge and expertise to our team. I look forward to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children of all ages, needs and abilities.

Luke Griffin

I have been working with children over the last 12 years starting out as a scouts beaver leader which first sparked my passion for working with children. I enjoy helping children to develop their own understanding of the world around us. I have been working within the nursery sector for the last 4 years, enjoying sharing my energy of physical education and sparking children’s imagination and creativity.

Emily Highmore is our Senior Nursery Manager for Ditcham Dragonflies. She brings a wealth of expertise in nursery management and child development, focusing on creating a welcoming, “home from home” environment where children’s imagination and creativity are nurtured. Emily’s dedication to high-quality care shines through in her commitment to redeveloping Dragonflies at Ditcham as a year-round nursery, with a focus on embedding the principle that “every child is known and valued.” Her commercial mindset, combined with her passion for child-centered learning, creates a warm, inspiring space for both children and families. Emily is also deeply committed to the success of our upcoming nursery in Sutton!
